Thanks God, Florence is freed.
How is she, tell her I am so sorry about what did my people do to her? Hope that God will kill them all.
And peace will live at the End.

I also hope Florence would be freed soon. I
read the other day that the French government has said that
she is safe. That is some good news. Hopefully she will be freed
very soon.
March 02, 2005. From Kurdo2000
Hope she will be free as soon as possible and
return to her family safely.

My thinking is this:
If Florence has been ubducted by terrorists, my belief is that
it is no use to talk any sense into these people. If on the
other hand she is held by some misguided people thinking of
themselves as a 'resistance' then I hope what I wrote may make
them think about what they are doing and try and convince them
that such acts do not benefit their cause.
I can only offer my prayers for Florence's safe return.

I forwarded your email to some people who might
be able to do something about it.
I have posted about the kidnapping of foreign journalists in
the past. In the case of your friend, Florence, I believe the
kidnapping was not for political motives. So it doesn't matter
to the kidnappers if she was anti-war or peace-loving or not.
They are after money from your government.
Believe me, we all ask ourselves the same questions that you
are asking. I fear that they may be left with no reply.
All the best to you and I sincerely hope you will be able to
see your friend again.

I can't find the words to express... I was
really touched, I never heard about that kidnapping... It's
bad.
I hope she will be back home as soon as possible. And I hope
that French government will heph you to pass through these hard
days.
Februray 13., 2005. From "An average Iraqi"
blog
Florence Aubenas, Giuliana Sgrena, Enzo Baldoni
and other courageous journalists have tried and are still trying
to report about what is happening inside Iraq. I do sincerely
hope that Iraqis will take over some of the work these journalists
try and tried to do: critically questioning, searching and hopefully
finding and describing the facts, events and developments. Let
it know. Dangers of what even Robert Fisk recently described
as 'hotel journalism' are big. The dangers of press-conference
journalism with its pre-cooked declarations also. Let's not
mention the 'embedded' sort. It is necessary that people go
out there, ask the questions, tell the world.
Februray 13., 2005. From Naima
Inshallah she'll get back to you, SAFELY...
There's always hope.
Februray 13., 2005. From Sahina
I would like to help her with all my heart.

I was deeply touched by your words. I hope
your friend comes back safe and sound to those who love her.
I also hope that one day decency, honour and true democracy
and those people standing for those noble ideals will prevail.
I don't think I am as "perplexed" as I was in August
regarding those people who are doing those horrible things to
people who are innocent and to decent people who are defending
Iraq by the way of letting the world know of what is happening
in this sad country. I am calling these people 'The forces of
darkness'. Their agenda cannot be noble.
I will try and post something on this.
We can only hope for the best. I can assure you that I know
how you feel. I have personally suffered a number of losses
during this ordeal. I know that I will always feel some of those
losses to the end of my days.
Be Strong.

be free as soon as possible. I sincerely hope.

Yes I have heard of such kidnapping but I don't
trully remember the name of the kidnapped.
I have read your message and I will help you, I will post your
message on my weblog and maybe it will reach Florence or any
one else who knows about her. I hope you hear from her soon.
