et la condition féminine ...
Des hommes armés
ont kidnappé, puis abattu une présentatrice de télé
en Irak

"Des hommes armés ont enlevé une présentatrice
de la télévision irakienne dans la ville de Mosul,
a reconnu un responsable de la chaîne de télévision
locale.
Raiedah Mohammed Wageh Wazan a été enlevée
par plusieurs hommes armés dimanche soir alors qu'elle
retournait à son domicile dans la banlieue Al-Shahwan de
Mosul, a indiqué l'homme qui s'est exprimé sous
couvert d'anonymat.
Aucun autre détail n'a été donné."
Puis le vendredi 25 février, le corps
sans vie de Raiedah Mohammed Wageh Wazan, 35 ans, mère
de trois graçons et une fille, a été retrouvé
dans la rue, a indiqué son époux Salim Saad-Allah.
"C'est un acte criminel. C'est une femme innocente qui
n'a jamais blessé personne de sa vie. Je lui ai demandé
à plusieurs reprises de quitter ce travail pour sa sécurité,
mais elle a toujours refusé" a t-il déclaré.
Il a ajouté que sa femme avait été tuée
de quatre balles dans la tête.
Deux jours avant le kidnapping de Raiedah Wazan, Jamal Badrani,
un producteur d'Al-Iraqiya,
avait échappé à une tentative d'enlèvement.
Le motif de son enlèvement reste flou -la présentatrice
a été enlevée avec son fils de 10 ans, relâché
3 jours plus tard- , même si les locaux de la chaîne
fondée par les Américains Nineveh TV ont été
la cible, la semaine précédente l'enlèvement
de la présentatrice, d'une attaque au mortier qui a blessé
trois de ses techniciens.
L'attaque a été revendiquée sur internet
par un groupe irakien affilié à Al-Qaïda, sans
que puisse être vérifiée l'authenticité
de cette affirmation.
Le mari de la victime, Salim Saad-Allah a précisé
qu'en raison de menaces contre sa personne, aucune procession
funéraire n'aurait lieu à l'occasion des obsèques
de sa femme. Raiedah Wazan est le (la!) troisième journaliste
assassiné en Irak depuis le début de la guerre (le
premier fut l'italien Enzo Baldoni en août 2004 et le second
Abdul Hussein Khazaal le 9 février
dernier).

Militants kidnap,
then murder, an Iraqi anchorwoman TV in Iraq

"Gunmen in Iraq abducted a female Iraqi television presenter
in the northern city of Mosul, an official from her local television
network said Monday.
Raiedah Mohammed Wageh Wazan was abducted by several masked
gunmen Sunday night while she was returning to her house in
Mosul's al-Shahwan neighborhood, said the official, speaking
on condition of anonymity.
No other details were immediately available."
Then on February 25., the corpse of the journalist
Raiedah Mohammed Wageh Wazan, 35 years old, mother of three
boys and a girl, was found dumped in the street, said her husband
Salim Saad-Allah. "This is a criminal act. She was
an innocent woman who did not hurt anybody in all her life.
I asked her several times to quit for the sake of her safety,
but she refused" said her husband". He also said
his wife had been shot four times in the head.
Two days before her kidnapping, another producer of Al-Iraqiya,
Jamal Bardani, escaped an attempt of kidnapping.
The reason of this murder his still unknwon; the presenter was
kidnapped with her 10 years old son, who has been released three
days later. But the office of the US-funded Iraqi Nineveh TV
where the reporter worked have been shooted by a mortar attack,
in which three technicians were wounded.
A group affiliated to Al-Qaeda has claimed responsability for
the attack, but that could not be really checked.
Her husband, Salim Saad-Allah, who has also
been threatened with death, said that it will not have a funeral
procession for the religious funeral. Raiedah Wazan is the third
journalist murdered in Iraq since the beginning of the war in
April 2003 (the first one was the Italian Enzo Baldoni killed
in August 2004 and the second was Abdul
Hussein Khazaal on Feb. 9, 2005).
